Introducing the new UNS Controbase--a nutrient-rich planted tank substrate base infused with slow-releasing macro and micronutrients like nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus to support aquatic plants--especially heavy root-feeders like stem plants in a Dutch-style aquascape. This supplemental substrate promotes a healthy aquascape while improving water flow and oxygenation and promoting beneficial bacterial growth.

Controbase is designed to be layered beneath aquatic plant soil or sand, like UNS Controsoil or Controsand. It comes sealed in mesh pouches for easy placement and maintenance. Also, the use of Controbase allows for customizable elevation and sloping within your aquascape.
