When Ultum Nature Systems started in 2017, we came into the planted tank and aquascaping hobby with a brand new and innovative concept to reimagine what a rimless aquarium could be. The signature 45-degree mitered edge corners brought not only stronger joints due to the increased surface area, but also allowed for the silicone joining them to be practically invisible in our low-iron, 91% Diamant glass aquariums. As a brand, we have always kept one important goal at the top of our priority list, to bring the people what they want!
In addition to adding these innovations to the traditional rimless aquariums, we also brought the aquascaping world what they’ve been yearning for, more width front to back. With the golden ratio in mind, the U model of UNS tanks came in industry-standard aquarium lengths such as the 60U, 90U, and 120U (60cm, 90cm, and 120cm, respectively). What made these U tanks amazing and wildly popular amongst scapers was the additional scaping real-estate in the footprint of the aquarium which allowed aquascapers to design layouts with an incredible sense of depth within the scape. As a result, we have been so proud to see our tanks being used to produce some of the most impressive award-winning aquascapes the hobby has ever seen.
Not too long after, we found a new opportunity to provide the community with an aesthetically pleasing solution to your light-hanging problems. The UNS Bar Pro Light Hanging bar gave hobbyists access to a well-built and beautifully designed rust-resistant steel light hanging bar. Now hobbyists have the ability to fine-tune light intensity by adjusting the height of their lights. Not only was the light hanging bar functionally great for hobbyists, but the clean, sleek look of the bar meant that they can do it in style!
Fast forward a couple of years and we find the hobby expanding its reaches literally outside of the box. Again, we brought the people what they were asking for with the new line of S-model shallow tanks. With the 5S, 25S, 45S, 60S, 75S, and 120S. These shallow versions of our aquariums brought hobbyists a new canvas where they could use their imagination in new ways. As before, we were so delighted to see so many beautiful and creative setups emerge from the community as a result of those new dimensions.
Now, Ultum Nature Systems is excited to announce the next evolution of our line of rimless, low-iron aquariums. After seeing the popularity of our 16T aquarium and listening to feedback from the community, we saw our chance to give you what you’ve been asking for yet again. The T model tall tanks has expanded and we now offer a 3T, 5T, 30T, 25T, 45T, and 60T. With the introduction of these new T sizes and new additional C-model, N-model, and U-model options, Ultum Nature Systems is proud to present 9 total new aquarium sizes, bringing our line of tanks to a grand total of 35 different dimensions for you to choose from! With the vertical expansion of your canvas, there are so many possibilities to explore with the added room! With this newfound vertical element available, forest or tree-focused scapes will reach a new level of complexity. Hobbyists have new ways to play with light penetration through the water column. Plants or Corals with varying degrees of light requirements can now be effectively used together in a more cohesive manner as well.
