A 2L bag of Controbase, along with a 3L bag of Controsoil Extra Fine Black, was used. A selection of Rotala, Pogostemon, and Ludwigia species were planted in the background only.
Only water changes were performed, and the aquarium was dosed with Plant Food MIN at the recommended dosage. No trimming was done from initial planting to the 8th month.
For convenience, Controbase comes pre-bagged in mesh filter bags for easy removal and reusability. Additionally, the bags can be stacked to create varying substrate slopes, allowing for unique aquascaping layouts.

Heavily planted aquariums with various stem plants and/or heavy root feeders such as Echinodorus and Cryptocoryne.

Light to moderately planted aquariums that contain less demanding plant species.

USAGE AND APPLICATION
Do not wash. Spread evenly beneath planted aquarium soil, sand or gravel.
Ensure that at least 2 inches [5CM] of soil, sand or gravel is used to top off Controbase.
NOTE! Water will become cloudy if Controbase is not covered completely.
